Campus Candy takes great pride in the partnerships we foster on both the national and local community levels. We are proud to utilize our store as a successful fundraising venue for some of the greatest student-run organizations in the country. We continue to look for new ways to continue to develop these relationships every day. If you or your organization has a unique partnership idea or would like to fundraise with us, please fill out our proposed partner form.*
Below are some of the organizations and companies we have partnered with and an explanation for how we have partnered with them.
We Advance
Campus Candy partnered with We Advance, a non-profit movement co-founded by actress Maria Bello dedicated to advancing the health, safety, and well-being of women throughout Haiti following the disastrous earthquake of Haiti in 2010. In May 2011, Campus Candy partnered with Wa Advance to supply the kids of Haiti with candy. Maria went personally with Clare Munn, the CEO of tcg agency, along with other activists to personally give the Campus Candy donated candy to the kids of Haiti. “We’ll see their faces light up from candy. I notice every kid, all over the world - that’s what they want. They want a sweet - they want to feel like a kid. So, thank you. Thank you Campus Candy,” said Maria while in Haiti.
You can see a clip from their journey below:
Boy Meets Girl
Campus Candy partnered with Boy Meets Girl to establish Boy Meets Girl for Campus Candy – a line of exclusive BMG Campus Candy themed t-shirts to be sold at Campus Candy stores. The catchy slogans and trendy designs were created by Boy Meets Girl head fashion designer, Stacy Igel. The line was brought into the stores in the fall of 2011. 10% of all the shirts proceeds are donated to the Young Survivor Coalition and their pursuit of a cure for breast cancer
To promote the partnership, Stacy Igel traveled to the Penn State store to host College Fashion Week – a one night event comprised of a fashion show and red-carpet experience mirroring the BMG New York Fashion Week party that took place the week before. The College Fashion Week Experience was filmed as part of Stacy’s LOCKERZ.com reality web series that will be released sometime in 2012.
Xtreme Trips
Campus Candy partnered with Xtreme Trips in the fall of the 2011 to host a co-sponsored welcome week activation. Campus Candy distributed 10,000 scratch-off cards at each of its universities.
Every card was a winner for a free product in the store along with a handful of other sponsored prizes including free t-shirts from Vintage Personalitees, gift cards from CC, and party packages from XtremeTrips. When the students claimed their free prize in the store, they were summoned to fill out their contact information which further entered them into a raffle to win one of ten grand prize all-inclusive spring break trips to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The ten winners were drawn live from the Penn State store during our College Fashion Week event.
Victoria’s Secret PINK
Campus Candy partnered with Victoria’s Secret PINK to host viewing parties at each of its campuses for the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The pink carpet event was coordinated by the PINK representatives at each school and was limited to just 250 VIP attendees at each university.
